Plastic laser cutting: how it works

The laser cutting of plastic involves a laser cutting irregular shapes out of acrylic or other types of plastic sheet. This is carried out with great precision, during which the edges are also perfectly finished. The cut edges gleam and offer the great advantage that finishing/polishing is unnecessary. In addition, the sheet material does not need to be stretched when lasering acrylic, because no mechanical force is placed on the product. This also means that there are no high set-up costs.

Tempering of acrylic sheets and products

Just as with milling and sawing, laser cutting can create tension in the acrylic. We can relieve this tension by tempering acrylic sheets or processed products in a tempering oven. This also makes the product more durable.

Our laser machine is capable of cutting acrylic sheets up to a maximum size of 3050 x 2050 mm and 25-30 mm thick into any imaginable shape. This enables us to produce made-to-measure plastic products of the highest quality for you, in series or as unique design objects. For applications in advertising, signage, interior design or stand construction.
