Plastic gluing: how it works

Gluing plastic involves using (special) glues to create a high-quality bond between different plastic sheets. The type of gluing technique used depends on the material and the application. Not only are glued surfaces subject to functional demands but very high quality standards because acrylic is used extensively for aesthetic purposes (visual applications). This requires craftsmanship.

Gluing plastic is precision work and we know how to do this out like no other. The expertise and years of experience we have built up allows us to create any adhesive bond you need. Our main specialisation is the creation of invisible adhesive bonds with acrylic. Allow yourself to be inspired by our exclusive displays, design objects and interior applications.

Which materials are suitable?

Most plastics, including those used for aesthetic applications, can be glued perfectly. We have a great deal of expert experience in gluing the following plastics:

However, not all standard plastics can be glued together easily. For example, PE and PP have limitations and are therefore usually welded. Naturally, we can weld these and other plastics for you.

Machines / equipment / specifications

Depending on the material and its intended use, we employ various high-quality adhesive techniques to glue plastics, such as mitre bonding, head bonding and solid bonding. This involves using two-component glues and solvent adhesives. If you would like to know which gluing technique is best for your application, don't hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to advise you.

If you would like more information on plastic gluing or to discuss the possibilities for your application, we will be happy to help you.
